September 24, 2025 | Dunhuang, China – As the golden glow of the setting sun bathed the endless Gobi Desert, thunderous cheers erupted from the Podofo team, echoing across the historic Silk Road. From September 21 to 24, 2025, 62 members of the company’s management team embarked on an extraordinary 4-day, 3-night, 108-kilometer trek through the arid expanse. Tracing the footsteps of ancient camel caravans that once bridged East and West, this group of Podofo warriors not only honored history but also crafted a modern epic of unity, perseverance, and pioneering spirit—and in a testament to their unwavering teamwork, every single participant crossed the finish line successfully, achieving the challenge goal in full.
A thousand years of wind and sand have etched indelible stories into the Silk Road, a legendary thoroughfare where camel bells once chimed, carrying dreams and civilizations between Eastern and Western lands. Today, this ancient path—once trodden by bold merchants and envoys—welcomed a new generation of trailblazers: the management team of Podofo. For us, this 108-kilometer journey was far more than a physical endurance test; it was a path of faith, where determination and solidarity would yield golden rewards. This was no lonely business trip; it was a team expedition, a collective odyssey that would bind us closer and write a brilliant new chapter in Podofo’s development.
Marching together with spears as our symbolic banner, and guided by our commitment to mutual success, we stepped onto the Gobi, where the vastness of the desert stretched to the horizon. In this boundless world, we were ready to showcase the indomitable spirit and burning passion of every Podofo person. Ahead lay the endless Gobi dunes; behind us stood the solid support of teammates’ arms. A timeless truth echoed in our minds as we walked: A person’s footsteps may be fast, but the footprints of a group of people can reach farther. We vowed to let this ancient path witness our tenacity, and let the wind and sand remember the profound friendship forged in our shared struggle. “Let’s march together! Join hands for win-win results!”—the rallying cry rang out, and our journey officially began.

We launched this expedition with a clear purpose: to empower every member of the management team, to strengthen their confidence, and to equip them with the resilience to face future challenges. We knew that in the days ahead, when work brings difficulties and confusion, the lessons learned from this trek would make us stronger and more resolute. Out here in the Gobi, surrounded by the quiet grandeur of history, we contemplated the meaning of life and existence—and we came to a simple yet profound realization: greatness lies in a group of people walking together with one heart, treading the ancient Dunhuang Silk Road to blaze a new path for Podofo’s foreign trade in the new era. This is the journey we must take, and together, we will explore the future hand in hand.

This trek was a pivotal moment, a chance to sharpen everyone’s sense of responsibility through what some might call a “backbreaking” challenge. We wanted to make it crystal clear that this experience would enhance our ability to withstand pressure and collaborate effectively in both work and life. At first glance, 108 kilometers—or even 50 kilometers—might seem like just a simple number. But the true essence of the challenge lay not in the distance itself, but in the process: How would we navigate the journey as a team? How could we ensure that everyone completed the trek without leaving a single person behind? That is what truly mattered.
There were moments of uncertainty along the way. We did not always know where the next camp was, or when we would arrive at our destination. Our minds went blank, yet we kept moving forward, step by step. When darkness fell over the Gobi, it was daunting—an overwhelming blackness that made us feel as if we were walking with our eyes closed. But in those moments of doubt, two forces lifted us up: the power of faith and the strength of the team. We knew that no obstacle was insurmountable when we stood united.

Life is full of trials and tribulations, and there are countless roads left to travel. Once we choose our direction and set our path, we must forge ahead unswervingly. Even if more difficulties and challenges lie in wait, they are all opportunities to hone ourselves—because the only person we truly need to defeat is ourselves. Every step we take in life counts. When we accomplish small goals one by one—whether it is reaching the next camp in the Gobi or closing a crucial foreign trade deal—we will inevitably reach our bigger life goals. Right then, our immediate goal was the next campsite; in the grand scheme of things, each of us has our own life ambitions. We were certain: achieve the small goals, and the big ones will follow. “Come on!” we cheered each other on, again and again.
We understood that if one person tried to drag the team forward alone, they would surely be exhausted. But if we could inspire every member to share the desire to win, if everyone grasped the power of unity, then our team would become invincible. “Where is the future? How far can we go?” The answers lie in our teammates—in helping each other, in sharing faith, and in walking together toward the same destination. One of the most profound remarks from the trek came from our commander, who said: “Many people dare not take the road of Dunhuang, but brave people walked the Silk Road.” His words struck a chord in our hearts. We, too, must have the courage to be the first to “eat the crab”—to dare to innovate, to break new ground, and to carve out our own Silk Road in the competitive global market.

As we neared the end of the journey, we looked back with pride: four days of grueling trekking, three nights of unyielding perseverance, and 108 kilometers of the ancient Silk Road—all of it had transformed into an eternal medal, shining brightly behind us. When we gazed at the vast Gobi one last time, we saw more than just the resilience and courage of our team; we saw the blood-bound teamwork that had carried us through. We had followed in the footsteps of history, supported each other across the desert, stood together through every trial, and faced every storm hand in hand. Now, the triumphant cheers of victory rang out once again on this ancient road—and we could proudly say: “We really got it!”
Marching together with spears is a belief engraved in our bones and blood; “Together We Win” is the sweet fruit of our collective efforts. This ancient Silk Road once witnessed the convergence of civilizations; today, it further bears witness to the strong cohesion and growth of the Podofo team.
Salute to every Podofo warrior! You have measured history with your firm footsteps, written legends with your hard-earned sweat, and won glory with your sincere unity. Marching together with spears, we live up to our noble mission; joining hands for win-win results, we create the future together. Marching in unison, with our collective resolve as our spear, we have succeeded in the Gobi 108KM challenge!
We sincerely hope that every Podofo warrior will carry the Gobi spirit—of perseverance, unity, and courage—back to their work posts, and use this hard-won strength to achieve greater brilliance for the company. Wishing Podofo Team a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow!
